How it started

Decoration guidance built from doing it, not just studying it

Every decoration concept we mentor has been stress-tested against real events — not mood boards.

Accessorbit started in 2023 with a specific gap in mind. Couples and coordinators were spending thousands on decoration pieces without any structured guidance on how those pieces work together in a real space, under real lighting, with real timelines.

The mentorship grew out of hands-on event work across New South Wales. What we teach comes from what we have seen go wrong and right at actual weddings and celebrations — not from trend reports.

Remote delivery means a client in Cairns or Geraldton gets the same depth of guidance as someone walking into our Blacktown base. Sessions are structured around your venue, your date, and your specific decoration challenges.

How the work happens

A structured path, not a checklist

Decoration mentorship at Accessorbit follows a consistent sequence. Each stage builds on the previous one so decisions are made in the right order.

Read the space first

Before any decoration concept is discussed, we work through the venue dimensions, natural light, ceiling height and existing architecture. A decoration idea that photographs beautifully in a showroom can be visually incoherent in a low-ceiling function room.

Anchor the colour and material story

Colour choices in decoration have cascading consequences across florals, linen, lighting and stationery. We establish a material palette early so that every subsequent decision is evaluated against a fixed reference point rather than a mood.

Build in visual layers

Decoration that reads well across a room works at three distances: what guests see when they arrive, what they see from their seat, and what they see when they lean in. Mentorship covers how to create all three without inflating the budget.

Account for real timelines

Most decoration errors happen under time pressure. We work through setup sequences, supplier lead times and contingency plans as a standard part of the mentorship — not as an afterthought.

Ongoing sessions as decisions firm up

Decoration decisions do not happen all at once. Mentorship continues across multiple sessions as venue confirmations, supplier quotes and personal preferences clarify what the final concept needs to look like.

Clear documentation at each stage

Every session produces a written reference document. When you are coordinating across florists, venue stylists and hire companies, having something written that all parties can read is what keeps the concept intact through execution.

The people behind it

Small team, deep focus

Decoration mentorship works best when the person guiding you has direct experience with the specific pressures of event day. Both Dariusz and Siobhán have worked across weddings, corporate celebrations and large family events before moving into structured mentorship.

The team deliberately stays small. Taking on fewer clients means each mentorship engagement gets genuine attention — not a recycled decoration plan with the names changed.

Remote sessions run via video call with shared screen references, visual planning boards and written summaries. Clients based in regional areas across Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia and South Australia have worked through the full mentorship sequence without needing to travel to Sydney.
